The Psychology Department of Ruia,held the events of its fest ‘Perceptions' at the T1 today. On our entry, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the organizers..Our very own Sangeeta ma’am conducted a seminar teaching us ways to increase our concentration levels. A much needed teaching lesson was thus imparted to the students.That,along with a host of personality and EQ tests and the screening of the psychological thriller ‘Devrai’ ensured that the depth of psychology excelled its own standards today.
French, a beautiful language, finds a special place in Ruia,the only college in Mumbai which offers a BA in French. Their fest, ‘Franc O Fun’ started with a BANG !Entire college was taken to surprise to their chants of “Franc O Fun ,Dhan dhana dhan “.Thee spring in their steps and the enthusiasm in their performance ,marked the spirit of SAMANVAY.
The events marked the encouragement given to inter-cultural and lingual exchange. The Chief Guest at this event was Mr.David Cordina,the director of Alliance Francaise was quoted saying ,"All in all, the event was interactive and the atmosphere jovial.”
At the end, we could just say one thing, “Bonjour to Francaise”!
Botany department with its fest named ‘Kingdom Plantae’ created awareness about going Green. They had events like rangoli in which participants were asked to make it using different flowers… then making things out of fruits., essay writing based on the same theme etc.Their stalls, providing a host of gainful insights on stuff in botany, received much of the crowds throughout the day.
Along with natural viewpoint. SAMANVAY also saw things from economical point of view, yeah; you heard it right, the Commerce department with its fest-Commercium, showed five POV, participants were all geared for this intelligent one!
It tested their business knowledge in round one, there was voice recognition competition in round two, the most entertaining part came when the participants were shown half advertisements and told to recognize the brands, they also kept prize for the audiences. All in all, we got to know the 'money matters'.
‘Chimera’,the Biotechnology Department Fest was eventful, as best shown by these snaps.Events that took place here were What The Fun,Art attack, criminal event, tick-tock on the clocks etc.
The ChemFest saw a variety of events, with the fest starting with a introductory speech by the HoD of chemistry department, Dr.Sathe. Events succeeding it ensured that chemical equations were set right and their competitive nature made sure that the enthusiasm levels kept bubbling.
The bioanalytical Science department came up with their fest called as “Bioanalyze”,held in S10.The highlight of their fest was the treasure hunt, an enthralling event that tested all the contestants to the hilt but made sure that they enjoyed every bit of it.
First day of SAMANVAY ended with the organizers satisfied and the participants in high spirits .After enjoying the day to the max. ,the organizers and students look forward to tomorrow and the upcoming days for more fun-filled and fulfilling sessions. From the 13th to the 16th at Ruia college, at SAMANVAY.
